The presentation will highlight the design, performance and application of viscous dampers on structures to reduce damage cause by seismic events. Other energy absorption technologies will also be discussed for non structural applications like piping, chillers, HVAC systems and other critical systems that may sustain damage in an earthquake.
Mr. Thomas Zemanek is Director of ENIDINE-Structures Sales and Marketing and is responsible for Sales and Marketing of seismic, blast, wind, wave and power generation markets. Tom received his BS degree in Finance from California State University and has 25 years of senior sales management experience.
Mr. Shubin Ruan is the Senior Product Line Manager, Dynamic & Controls Engineer, and is responsible for the Design, application, performance evaluation and testing of fluid viscous dampers and other Enidine Technologies. Shubin received his BA in Mechanical Engineering from Jiamusi University, MS in Mechanical Engineering from Dalian University and his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the University of Buffalo. Mr. Shubin has 6 years experience in design, testing and evaluation of dampers and semi-active isolation products.
